The EUP Regional Planning & Development conducts studies of various kinds, provides a forum though which cross-county interests can be served and administers the federal Economic Development Administration’s Economic Development District planning program, the MDOT Asset Management Program, MDOT Rural Task Force and MDOT Rural Transportation Planning programs. In addition, the Commission provides technical assistance to townships, cities, villages, counties, and non-profits across the region on a wide range of planning issues.  The Commission also acts as a region-wide data and information center for Chippewa, Mackinac, and Luce Counties.
